9 Days Migration & the Mara River
Straight to the drama of the Mara River crossing, by way of Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater.
A private safari, end to end
Imagine thousands of wildebeest and zebra together in a herd, all moaning and braying, kicking up dust and shielding one another from the surrounding predators. Add a river to that equation and it becomes a truly unique spectacle — the yearly Mara River crossing of the Great Wildebeest Migration in the northern Serengeti, which only occurs from late July to early October.
This route takes you straight to the heart of this apotheosis of nature, where — if you’re fortunate — you might witness the herds risking their lives in a crocodile-filled river. This is not a journey for the faint-hearted, and it also passes the elephant-packed Tarangire and the impressive Ngorongoro Crater on the way back.
